Your role as Business Development Manager

  • Proactively network with prospective clients and partners to articulate 55 Minutes' services through various methods, ie: attend events and conferences, be active in related communities, be involved in organising events and workshops.
  • Grow the business by setting clear and feasible goals and action plans for acquiring clients and partners.
  • Conduct market research as well as stay abreast of industry shifts or competitor activities to identify trends, and pursue business opportunities, and determine potential areas of growth/new target markets.
  • Create compelling presentations/pitches by using industry knowledge and case studies to communicate value proposition and inspire business engagements.
  • Develop and manage business leads pipeline that are efficient and sustainable, ensuring business leads are regularly generated.
  • Analyse and report on key performance indicators to measure the success of business development efforts.
  • Work with the team to ensure clients are transitioned successfully once the business has been won.
  • Work with the marketing lead to shape and align the marketing strategy and business development strategy together.
  • Create thought-leadership content as part of building brand awareness and growing the business.
  • Provide regular updates on all marketing and outreach activities.


You'd be a good fit with the following qualifications

  • Minimally 5 years of experience in business development or related role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding business development targets.
  • Diploma or Bachelors' degree in business or a related field.
  • Analytical, passionate about solving business problems and interested in growing small businesses.
  • Possess excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, and can handle difficult scenarios with finesse and tact.
  • Outgoing and comfortable to interact with all levels of prospective clients and partners.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative who can work independently with strong work ethics.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise and multitask while managing several leads and clients at any one time.
  • Huge bonus if you are familiar with, and/or have keen interests in UX design and/or have worked in design agencies before.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Slack, Notion and Microsoft Office.
